I think we're ready - backpack, pillows, ipads, and Baby. Only 702 miles to go!!
Within the first hour, our first activity was accomplished - naps!! One of the drawbacks of growing out of your baby carseat is that its not as comfy a nap trying to adjust a pillow to the door while in your booster seat! Oh well, napping is napping ... And LaLa is happy!
First stop at Target. Well, not exactly the first stop. First stop was to pull off and attempt to figure out why someone's ipad wasn't being heard. Although LaLa has no ipad and therefore no expertise in this area, she was able to figure out how to turn up the volume. Meanwhile, back at Target, we had to shop for important things. Like chocolate chip mini muffins (because someone ate two or three packets after nap). And swim diapers. And earplugs (because someone cannot nap because someone else breathes too loud when she sleeps). And earphones because someone forgot to bring someone's. And Legos. Just because ...
Rest stop somewhere in Georgia. Or Florida. Does it really matter? Someone still has on her pjs. Does that really matter? We had to stop for a bathroom break, but also because someone's chocolate milkshake spilled in someone's travel bin (plastic wash basin) perilously close to someone's ipad. The good news is that the ipad is safe, and the travel bin and protective ipad cover will be washed out when we get to Disney.
Earplugs in! Ready for the next few miles. Unfortunately the earplugs did not last long ...
The final push. Ipads on, working, and sound is good.
Hoping the diaper lasts through the final few hours/miles.
And we made it!!! Welcome Home!!
