Anyhow, we managed to get some food into the above mentioned children, as well as ourselves, made a necessary potty/diaper change stop, and headed for the car.
We loaded the car with children (carefully counting to make sure we hadn't added any during the night) and headed south. Doesn't everyone look happy (of course, do you see Molly? I didn't think so). And actually, for the most part, everyone was. We watched our iPads, Lindley took pictures and videos with hers, and we discussed which movies we would watch in the car.
At some point, we decided it was time for a lunch/Target break (because you just get in an impromptu road trip with children, and it becomes apparent fairly quickly exactly what things you do not have and desperately need). We had a quick bite and then Molly stayed to supervise the girls in the play area while I made a quick Target run. We remembered to fill up the van with gas before getting back on the road.
And before we knew it, we were pulling into the Disney gates and after a mis-turn or two, were pulling into our resort. Steve joined us a little bit later and everyone headed for the pool.
Meanwhile, back in Nashville, things were a little white and a bit colder. Sam and Lynnette made their flight and arrived at the resort later in the evening. Everyone had dinner and found their rooms and headed to bed - we have things to do tomorrow!
So in the end, I guess we made the correct decision to load the car and drive. We're at Disney World!!
