Princesses In Waiting

Today was the registration day for Disney's Princess Half Marathon.  Maribeth hadn't registered yet, so I was in charge of getting her registered while she was busy delivering the mail.  Registration was going to open at 11am CST, so at 10:45am, I was ready.  I had two browsers open to the registration page, refreshing every few minutes just in case registration opened early.

At 11am, the site was open.  And then it wasn't.  And then you could register, but then the site would freeze. And then you would get to the pay page, and hit "pay" and then it would have a big error message.  So you would refresh and try again and all the above would happen over and over.  I frantically texted Molly and got her on the mission, in case it was my computer.  Texts furiously went back and forth, each of us (and the thousands of others trying to register) as error messages would pop up.  Finally, after 30 minutes of attempting to complete Maribeth's registration, my efforts were rewarded - she was in the race!  Meanwhile on the Run Disney facebook page, people were having nervous breakdowns.

Anyhow, just in case you think princesses have it easy, think again.  We work hard for the opportunity to run those 13.1 miles - we want the bling!!

Today was a great day because:  taking E to school; insane Princess Half Marathon registration; picking up Everley and Lindley after school and getting ice cream from Sonic; Sam bringing burritos for dinner
