This morning, a few friends and I completed the Runnin' To Beat The Blues 5K. Gloria and husband Jim ran the dang thang but very sweetly waited until the rest of us finished. Karen B, Karen P, and I alternated walking, jogging, and ambling, and managed to finish just ahead of the last few stragglers still out on the course. I'm not sure when the duck finished.It was a bit cold and overcast when the race started this morning. Earlier, there were a lot of emails, facebook messages, and texts about who was going. But in the end, we all showed up and enjoyed some time together.
Because that's what good friends do - enjoy each other in all kinds of weather - even weather that's best enjoyed by ducks!!
