- Realizing (but not really appreciating) how many country music stations there are between Nashville, TN, and Hildebran, NC
- Realizing (and truly appreciating) the random oldies radio station that I could eventually find
- Listening to several tibits of Sunday sermons
- Thankful that the ride home always seems quicker than the ride to somewhere
- Thankful that I still had 15 miles of gas left in the tank when I finally found a gas station
- Driving through a tunnel in the mountain
- Winding (and winding and winding) through the beautiful hills/mountains of NC
- Seeing sign for Appalachian Trail passage
- Take significantly less stuff back to Nashville than I took to Hildebran
- Enjoying a bag of cheese pretzel Combos, a long-forgotten treat from the old days
- Phone chat with KB
- Reaching the Tennessee line and reading every mileage sign that listed the miles to Nashville on it
- Arriving safely back at my house!
