The Bro-Sis Thing

Today is National Siblings Day.  I am blessed in that I have two of them - one of each gender.  One is older and one is younger (yes, that makes me the middle child, which is totally another blog post/therapy session).  Anyhow, here we are to the left, at my brother John's 49th birthday trip.  My sister Marilyn and I brought him down for a weekend with just the three of us - no spouses or kids.

Sure, we were probably making up for the last time the three of us were at Disney World - about 1974 - and our father wouldn't let us stay for the fireworks.  He wanted to "beat the traffic."  This time, we stayed for the fireworks!  It was also during the Food and Wine Festival, so we also celebrated by eating around the world.

Anyhow, today is a good day to remember your siblings and the fun you've had throughout the years.  They're the people who know where you've come from, and can appreciate the most where you are now.  They're the people who will have your back and help you when you need it.  And if you're lucky, they can also be your best buds for fun - at any age.

Oh, and in case you're wondering where we started, here's a look - in case you were wondering who was the oldest!!
