This morning Molly and I did the "Dash to the Finish Line 5K." It started a few blocks from our hotel and ended up at Central Park - the finish line was the same as tomorrow's marathon. It was fun, and a real reminder of how out of shape I am and how much I need to get back into shape. Anyhoo, Molly and I, and about 10,000 other people ran through the streets and through Central Park to the finish. To give you an idea of the race, the winner finished the 3.1 miles in 13.46 minutes - I hadn't even crossed the start line. I also did not do any mile in 13.46 minutes, much less than the entire race. Shocker, I know ...
But it was a fun way to start the day and stroll the streets of New York City. Tomorrow we will cheer the 45000 runners as they run 26.2 miles through the five boroughs. The best part will be cheering for Rachel - and not being a runner myself!!

Today was a great day because: Molly and I did the 5K; fund Larry pictures; jello pedi and mani; lunch at The Smith; shopping with Molly; dinner with Rachel's race team; watching Lifetime movies

What a beautiful day it was for a run (or just about anything else!)
