60 Miles Is Getting Closer ...

Tonight Cindy (an Udderly Pink supporter and a co-worker of Karen) spearheaded a "send-off" party for our breast cancer walk.  We had great food and great entertainment (thanks to Bruce), and the night ended with wonderful toasts that Cindy had found and printed out for everyone to read.

However, this party signals one thing - basically in three weeks we will be headed to Washington, DC, to walk 60 miles in 3 days.  Which means our training walks are going to be few and far between from now until then.  Which haven't been too great so far.  In other words, we haven't trained like we should.

Nevertheless, Team Udderly Pink will put one foot in front of the other in hopes of finishing our 60 miles and in hopes of finishing this disease called breast cancer.  With the love and support that was so evident tonight, we will do it!

Today was a great day because:  I walked two miles with KB; lists and tasks were accomplished; UP send-off party at KB's office; Bruce playing some tunes on the guitar; Lindley time at the party; Up shirts came in via Sam; lovely evening after the rain
