From Canada Place to My Place

It had to come to an end - the cruise, that is.  Today we sailed into port.  We watched the unloading of bags and the loading of food and supplies for the next cruise.  We even saw an interesting work team - and we're still not sure exactly whose hard hat the pup was carrying!

Soon enough it was time to leave our home for the past week and begin our trek home.  Since another ship was also in port, there were about 4000ish people looking for a ride to various places.  We got in the taxi line, waited about 45 minutes, and were soon in a taxi headed for the Vancouver airport.  Where we had several hours to wait.

Eventually we boarded our American Airlines jet headed for DFW (the inflight movie was "Monster U", which I had just seen a few days prior).  Upon arrival in Dallas, we had just enough time to get off one plane, find the tram for our terminal, use the restroom, and board our plane for home.  We got home around 11:15pm, eventually retrieving our bags and getting home around midnight.  I promptly dropped my bags in the den and headed for bed, deciding to wait another day to unload them (lest you get concerned, those are my bags AND Molly's bags AND the box we shipped home for Disneyland).

Also waiting for me at home were these - black bananas and dead flowers.  Guess it's good to be missed!!

Today was a great day because:  it was a beautiful day in Vancouver; we had a nice cab driver; we met some fun Texans at the airport; I had an empty middle seat; two safe, smooth rides; we had plenty of time to catch our flight at DFW; sleeping in my own bed
