If It's Tuesday, I Must Be Travelling

After a decent night's sleep, I got up to a list of unfinished things to do - and another list of things still to do.  In short, I needed to unpack the suitcases, sort the suitcase stuff, wash clothes, wash dishes, clear the counter, visit Home Depot, purchase a mattress, switch the new mattress with a mattress at Maribeth's, fold and put away the clean clothes, pack a suitcase, chat with Bill about the remodel process, get KB's camera stick, and make some more lists.

In short, I managed to get it all done by 4:15pm, which was the time set by Steve for our departure to pickup Molly and head for the airport.  We're headed to NYC to meet up with my sister Marilyn, her husband Eddie, and their daughter Rachel for a 5-day cruise to Canada.  And yes - it's Disney!  All day, Molly and I have thought that perhaps this cruise was not a good idea being so close to the 3-Day, but I know once we are on the ship, it will have been a brilliant idea!

We had a great flight, and got to La Guardia around 8:30pm.  It was a bit humbling to be in NYC on September 11 - to see the Freedom Tower lights in the distance and remember this day in this city.  I cannot even begin to imagine what it was like to be here on that day eleven years ago.

Once we arrived at our hotel, we met up with Eddie and Marilyn for a bite at Junior's and afterwards headed to Walgreens for everything we forgot and the Disney Store in Times Square for more stuff.  Eventually we made it back to the hotel for a bit of sleep.  Tomorrow we board the boat!!

The Good Stuff From Today:  Accomplishing tasks; safe, smooth flight; fabulous hotel room; Juniors with the crew; somebody famous outside but we don't know who it was; shopping on Times Square
