Saturday in the Park

Today Molly, KB, and I decided to tour California Adventure Park, where we rode this.  This ride is in Cars Land, which is totally awesome, and basically has you sit in tires that float on air.  The way to move them is by moving your body, which is easy - if you're coordinated and not three women who can't follow directions.

We then proceeded to a bug's land where we rode this, which is easy - unless you are a nine-year-old girl and cannot turn the bug in the direction you are supposed to go, thus creating a bug traffic jam, and when the ride is stopped, you are a mom/two kids combo who gets out and goes to the exit until the ride operator tells you the ride isn't over.  Fun times for all.

We also rode Soarin' (my favorite ride), waited for Molly to ride the roller coaster, rode Toy Story Mania (where Molly got the high score), ate some lunch, had a snack at Starbucks (yep - right on the corner in CAP), and did some shopping.  We then crossed the way and did a quick drive-by of Disneyland, including a walk through the rather scaled-down Sleeping Beauty Castle.  We headed back to the hotel, but not before stopping to shop at The World of Disney, and somehow find more stuff to purchase.  After a little siesta and dinner, we finished the day watching The World of Color, which was pretty amazing.

Not bad exercise for the day - unless you figure in the fact that we're supposed to be doing a half-marathon in the morning!
