Confession Time

Okay, so I'm officially waaaay behind. You know it and I know it. I'm as behind as I've ever been. It's even been suggested that perhaps I should stop blogging altogether. I know - desperate times call for desperate measures.

But I'm not going to stop. I am going to get caught up (and I'm also going to exercise on a regular basis and eat sensibly, but first things first). So that means the next several posts will be quick and about much of nothing. But I will get caught up.  Why? Well, let me give you a few reasons ...

1. If I am going to call myself a writer (which I do on occasion), I have to write. It's like if I'm going to call myself a runner, I need to run (hence the reason I don't call myself a runner). I have to practice writing every day so that I don't stop writing. Because for me, writing is like anything else that people do to get better at whatever they're trying to do.

2. I have to get caught up because I am anal retentive like that. I need something in my life that is in order and regular. And this seems like an easy one to do. Or at least it seemed like it was ...

3. I have to get caught up because if I don't, I will stop writing altogether. And probably replace the writing thing with eating Ding Dongs or Little Debbie Current Season Snack Cakes.

4. I have to get caught up because one day I might have a brilliant idea for a blog post, and if I've quit, then the world will not get to read this brilliant blog post. And how sad would that be? I am totally concerned about the world and its reading.

5. I have to get caught up because then one part of my life will be back on track and I can focus on getting the other parts back on track. Because some of those parts have not only totally derailed, but have fallen off the track and crashed and burned. So I've got to start somewhere.

So in conclusion, I shall get this party started. Now to surf the 'net for those cute kitty videos ...
Today is a gift because: taking Everley to school; Lindley and Everley time; picking up Lynnette at the airport
